{"id":12,"date":"2009-10-03T15:27:56","date_gmt":"2009-10-03T05:27:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/frasercoastpainting.com.au\/blog\/?p=12"},"modified":"2009-10-04T16:56:32","modified_gmt":"2009-10-04T06:56:32","slug":"coral-coast-homes-victim-hurt-again-by-latest-demands-to-pay-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/frasercoastpainting.com.au\/blog\/coral-coast-homes-victim-hurt-again-by-latest-demands-to-pay-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Coral Coast Homes victim hurt again by latest demands to pay up!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rob Messenger MP<br \/>\nMember for Burnett <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">MEDIA RELEASE<\/span>)<\/p>\n<p>A local bu<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft alignnone\" style=\"margin: 1px 5px; float: left;\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_0dculB_1s58\/SmbsrzMl92I\/AAAAAAAAAGM\/dyD3ayGDn_o\/s320\/burnett+-+nat.jpg\" alt=\"Rob Messenger\" \/>ilding business owner affected by the collapse of Coral Coast Homes has been told by the company\u2019s newly appointed Liquidator (<a href=\"http:\/\/frasercoastpainting.com.au\/Downloads\/20091002102708641.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">see attached letter<\/a>) to return money which was previously awarded by a tribunal to the former Coral Coast Homes customer.<\/p>\n<p>Member for Burnett Rob Messenger was contacted by Kevin Bragg, owner\/Director of Bundaberg business \u2018Brickfred Pty Ltd\u2019, who received a letter from Coral Coast Homes liquidators, demanding that he pay $12,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Liquidators are now claiming that I should have known they (Coral Coast Homes) were trading insolvent, but had I have known that, why would I be wasting money with the business?\u201d Mr Bragg said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were sick of not being paid and forced go through court process and now liquidators turn around and say you don\u2019t deserve that money &#8211; hand it back !?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve done everything by the book\u2026 I\u2019m very disappointed to receive the letter like that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve gone through every legal process and followed to the letter what the solicitor was saying and what the tribunal\u2019s findings recommended,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr Bragg is obviously extremely disappointed to receive the liquidator\u2019s letter and has approached me for help,\u201d said Mr Messenger.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll be writing to the Attorney-General and Minister responsible for the BSA on behalf of Mr Bragg, asking that the government investigate the Liquidator\u2019s letter of demand and advise if it is a reasonable and legal demand,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Messenger is also concerned that there may be other victims of the Coral Coast Homes Crisis who have received a similar letter of demand from liquidators and is urging anyone in the same predicament as Mr Bragg to contact his office for assistance.<\/p>\n<p>Media contact: Rob Messenger 0407 904 134<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rob Messenger MP Member for Burnett (MEDIA RELEASE) A local building business owner affected by the collapse of Coral Coast Homes has been told by the company\u2019s newly appointed Liquidator (see attached letter) to return money which was previously awarded by a tribunal to the former Coral Coast Homes customer.
